House Counsel Attorney

In this position, House Counsel Attorneys provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or to the Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation. Attorney also prepares legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and is involved in negotiating settlements with plaintiffs and/or their attorneys in conjunction with claims department authority. Some appellate work may be required as well.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Juris doctorate required.

- At least three years of automobile negligence and no fault experience required.

- Prefer 3-4 jury trials with verdict.

- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

- An active member in good standing of Bar in state of operation.
