Manager, Recruiting and Employee/Labor Relations

Responsibilities:



     
  • Manage the recruitment and employment function for the College

  • Provide employee and labor relations to key constituency groups, managing Affirmative Action Plan under the direction of the Vice President, Human Resources and other Human Resources generalist duties as assigned






Requirements


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 6 years progressive experience in Human Resources, including experience to include: recruiting, employee relations, labor relations, compensation and benefits

  • Proven track record in resolving grievances and interpreting union contracts, managing a recruitment function, managing and addressing employee relations issues including EEO charges, discrimination charges, sexual harassment issues, etc.

  • Previous supervisory experience and track record of managing Federal and State Labor laws

  • Demonstrated competencies specific to federal and state employment and labor laws

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills

  • Evidence of ability to assess, analyze and implement solutions to employee relations issues

  • Proven track record in providing direction, counsel and managing Human Resources issues in a complex environment

  • Demonstrated experience in providing leadership to constituents and staff and ensuring accountability
